The Association of Management Committees of Protected Areas of the Chaco, Chiquitania, Pantanal, and Amazon (ACGAP) has taken a significant step in its mission to conserve and manage Bolivia's protected areas. With valuable support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Association for Biodiversity Conservation and Research and Sustainable Development (SAVIA), a strategic project has been launched to strengthen governance capacities and consolidate digital communication through the creation of a new website.
This project aims to enhance participatory management of protected areas by strengthening management committees and promoting inclusive, sustainable, and effective governance. Furthermore, the new website will be a key tool for transparency, access to information, and connecting local communities, strategic partners, and the general public.
The collaboration with UNDP and SAVIA reaffirms ACGAP's commitment to the conservation of Bolivia's most important ecosystems and the protection of its natural and cultural heritage. This initiative will not only raise awareness of the work of the management committees but also foster greater participation and support for the protection of protected areas.
ACGAP's new website promises to become an innovative space that facilitates access to key information, documents, news, and activities related to conservation, strengthening the bond between communities and the ecosystems they protect. This development reflects the spirit of cooperation and joint action that drives ACGAP, reaffirming its role as a leader in environmental governance in Bolivia.
Soon you'll be able to explore this new space and be part of our mission for a sustainable future!
